What we like, and what to watch
What we like
- Hardware and software from one team. The devices run Volumio's own player software, made by the same company, so updates and support come from one place.
- A full ladder of options. You can start with a streamer DAC, add a transport for your own DAC, or go all-in-one with the Integro amplifier.
- Two-year warranty. Volumio lists a 2-year warranty on all its devices and pays to ship repaired units back.
Watch out for
- Return shipping and any customs or duty charges are yours to pay, and they aren't refunded.
- Returns and warranty repairs need authorization from Volumio support before you ship anything.
- The default prices are in euros. Buyers outside the eurozone should check the price in their own currency at checkout.
Who should buy from Volumio
If you want a dedicated, well-supported streamer for a hi-fi system and like Volumio's interface, the Primo V3 or Rivo are the sensible starting points. If you only need basic streaming, the free Volumio software on cheaper hardware may do the job.
Volumio
Hi-fi owners who already like Volumio's software, or want a polished streamer to feed an existing DAC or amplifier.
