At a glance
| What it sells | Handheld gimbal stabilizers (CRANE and WEEBILL for cameras, SMOOTH for phones), LED video lights (MOLUS, FIVERAY, CINEPEER), softboxes, mounts and other accessories, plus a pre-owned section. The collection page showed 94 products |
|---|---|
| Prices seen | About $172.96 (SMOOTH Q5 Ultra kit) to $605.36 (MOLUS G300 kit); single accessories from $20.99 (expansion plate) to $399.00 (CINEPEER C100); pre-owned items from $74.00 to $223.00 |
| Shipping | The shipping policy table lists free US shipping over $29.99 ($10 below that), 3-5 days delivery after 2-3 days processing, via USPS, UPS or DHL. The site banner and product pages instead say free shipping over $99 (US) or €99 (EU), so check at checkout. The store also ships to Canada, the UK, many EU countries, Japan, Australia and others |
| Returns | Return policy page: 14 calendar days from delivery for new or like-new items in original packaging; replacements within 30 days for transit damage or defects. The homepage and product pages advertise 30-day returns, so the wording differs. Refunds to card or PayPal take up to 10 business days after the item is received |
| Return shipping | The buyer pays for returns not caused by a quality problem, and ZHIYUN does not provide a return label. The policy does not mention a restocking fee |
| Warranty | Product pages and homepage state a 1-year official warranty (homepage: up to one year). We did not find a separate warranty page; the footer lists After-Sales Centers and Repair Services |

What we like, and what to watch
What we like
- Kits that pair gimbals and lights. Bundles such as the Smooth 5S AI with a FIVERAY M40 SE light ($241.20) put a stabilizer and a 40W bi-color light in one purchase.
- Wide range of accessories. Softboxes, Bowens adapters, spotlight attachments and handles start around $21 to $149, so you can extend a light or gimbal setup.
- Pre-owned section. Used items such as the Crane M2 S ($95.00) and FIVERAY M20 combo ($74.00) are listed at lower prices.
Watch out for
- Free-shipping wording conflicts: the policy table says over $29.99 while the banner and product pages say over $99.
- Return window wording differs: 14 days in the refund policy versus 30 days on the homepage and product pages.
- Buyers pay return shipping for non-defect returns and no return label is provided.
- Several product pages say 'available in 2 weeks' while showing in stock, and omit weight, payload and battery specs.
Who should buy from ZHIYUN
ZHIYUN makes sense if you shoot video with a phone or camera and want a gimbal and portable light bought together from the official store. If you need confirmed specs or a generous prepaid return, check with support first.
ZHIYUN
