What we like, and what to watch
What we like
- Strong specs for the price. On paper, the J11 MAX offers 1,200W and 34 mph for $559, and the dual-motor H6 37 mph for $699.
- Written warranty by part. The warranty page lists which parts get 1 year, 6 months or 1 month.
- Parts sold direct. Each scooter model has its own parts and accessories listing, from $3.
Watch out for
- The return policy contradicts itself (30 days vs. 7 days for performance issues only) and still shows "[INSERT RETURN ADDRESS]". Get return terms in writing from contact@freeboy.co before you buy.
- The battery and charger are covered for only 6 months, and wear parts such as tires and lights for 1 month.
- Top speeds of 34 to 50 mph are the brand's claims and far above typical scooter limits on public roads. Check local laws and wear a helmet.
- The Y66 is marketed "for Teens 14+" with a claimed 34 mph top speed; consider supervision and local rules carefully.
Who should buy from FREEBOY
If you've picked a model and mainly care about power and price, FREEBOY's scooters look competitive and the warranty is written out clearly. If being able to return it matters, ask support to confirm the terms first; the policy as written is unreliable.
FREEBOY
Riders who know which scooter they want, like the price-to-spec ratio, and are fine relying on the warranty rather than a return.
FREEBOY FAQ
Is FREEBOY legit?
FREEBOY runs its own store with published shipping, warranty and return pages and an email contact (contact@freeboy.co). Its return policy is contradictory and partly unfinished, so confirm terms before ordering. This review is based on the official pages, not hands-on testing.
What is the FREEBOY return policy?
It's unclear. One section offers 30-day returns for unused items; another says products from overseas warehouses can only be returned for performance issues reported within 7 days. Sale items aren't returnable.
What warranty do FREEBOY scooters have?
1 year on main components such as the frame, motor and controller, 6 months on the battery and charger, and 1 month on wear parts.
Does FREEBOY offer free shipping?
The homepage advertises free shipping with 2-7 day delivery; the shipping policy says costs are shown at checkout.
